This Week's Featured Adoptable: Mama

Mama is an absolutely adorable two-year-old pittie mix.  She's a smaller girl, but don't let her size fool you -- her personality is larger than life!

Miss Mama was rescued from a shelter in California after her litter was born and her bright prance never fails to bring a smile to the faces of everyone who meets her.  Mama loves to play ball, but expect a fight -- once she gets a hold of a tennis ball, there is little chance that you'll get it back, unless you can outrun her.  Mama is very loving and protective and would be the perfect pup for a family with children.  She's great with kids and tolerates cats, but she can be picky with dogs.

To meet Mama, or just to see her jovial trot, contact Cathy King at 801-359-5595 or credking@gmail.com.

Mama gets some love at a Utah Humane Society Benefit.

Changing Lives Through Canine Companionship

One in four Iraq and Afghanistan war veterans return home with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. More than four million healthy, adoptable animals will be euthanized in shelters this year. These dogs can provide an understanding, loving companion that can help these veterans cope with debilitating flashbacks by bringing them back to the present, therefore helping them re-assimilate back into civilian life.

Canines With a Cause brings shelter dogs and returned veterans together. Vets benefit from the healing companionship of the dog and shelter dogs' lives are saved by finding loving homes.
