Volunteers Needed!

Do you love dogs?  Have a little extra time on your hands?  Then CWAC needs you!

We need volunteers who can commit to two to three hours each week to walk, play with and generally give a little extra love to our wonderful pups.  We have several time slots available and are able to work around nearly every schedule.  We're also filling spots for every day of the week.  If you're interested in spending some of your spare time giving back to the dogs who are changing lives every day, please let us know.  You can send us your contact information via our Facebook page, just click on the link to the right of the page.

  1. I have searched this site for an address and or a phone number so I would know where my volunteering would be. where are you located? Do you have more than one location? I did love the stories and the adoptables!

    1. Michael, we have recently relocated and are no longer in Salt Lake. Our dogs are up in Heber right now while we try to find a permanent location. Depending on what kind of stuff you're interested in helping out with, we are always looking for fosters, every other Saturday we do adoptions at the Sugarhouse PetCo, and throughout the year we go to events and always need volunteers. If your schedule allows we are also looking for a few volunteers to help out with a training class Wednesdays in Orem at Utah Valley University. Please email us at canineswithacause@gmail.com and we can figure out what works for you! Thanks so much for your interest!

Changing Lives Through Canine Companionship

One in four Iraq and Afghanistan war veterans return home with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. More than four million healthy, adoptable animals will be euthanized in shelters this year. These dogs can provide an understanding, loving companion that can help these veterans cope with debilitating flashbacks by bringing them back to the present, therefore helping them re-assimilate back into civilian life.

Canines With a Cause brings shelter dogs and returned veterans together. Vets benefit from the healing companionship of the dog and shelter dogs' lives are saved by finding loving homes.
